Hi,

I think your file extension is the problem (PY instead of py). We'll take care of that in our next version (4.1.4), to be released next week. But in the meantime, please rename your file to be able to set breakpoints.

Cheers,
Carlos

I just downloaded/installed anaconda on my windows machine. See details and version number in the image below. I am new to all this Spyder version if 4.0.1. In the debug mode, I am unable to set a breakpoint by doubleclicking next to the line number, as the tutorial suggests. The only way I can set a breakpoint is to use the Debug menu in the top menu bar for F12key. Even then the red dot next to the line where the breakpoint is set is not visible. As the screen shot below shows a breakppoint has been set at Line-10 (see breakpoints pane) however, there is no visible red dot next to line 10.

How can I set a breakpoint by double-clicking and see the visible red dot? Thank you for your help.
