I have also noticed that more recent versions of spyder tended to crash
almost every day, whereas previous versions would run for days if not week.
So I uninstalled it and instead of the installer version used pip to
install it again and it seems to run smoothly again. Any reason why the pip
installed version would be more stable than the one from the Windows 10
installer?
