On the behalf of the Spyder Project Contributors <https://github.com/spyder-ide/spyder/graphs/contributors>, I'm pleased to announce that Spyder *5.5.2* has been released and is available for Windows, GNU/Linux and MacOS X: https://github.com/spyder-ide/spyder/releases This release comes one month and six days after version 5.5.1 and it contains the following important fixes: - Activate environment for consoles that run in the same environment as Spyder. - Fix IPython kernel hangs when using a different graphic backend than Inline. - Fix check for updates mechanism when running Spyder from a conda installation. In this release we fixed 5 issues and merged 7 pull requests that amount to more than 39 commits.
