Robin; I would disable the firewall and try again first (reduce needless trouble with PostgreSQL). I imagine you have the ipchains firewall which Red Hat installas by default. To stop it you would have to do "/etc/rc.d/init.d/firewall stop". To see if port 80 is "open" you could look at a file in /etc/sysconfig (I can't remeber the name right now, but it should be obvious when you see it).
