Hi,

the invoice number is not used as a database key, you can even enter the number like 
you want it....(even multipke entries...).

But you are right, the numbers should be running numbers and therefore only if posted 
assigned... .

I think it might be easier to rather use the ID field on table INVOICE with an own 
sequence just for the invoices for that purpose and then rename the existing "invoice 
number" to "our reference" or something else....
