Hello all !

I've been lurking on the list for a month or so and am impressed with Dieter and the "user to user" support.
For this reason I'm hoping to use SQL-ledger in my business but I have a few questions about functionality before I commit to  a service contract.

I'm making custom TEX templates and these are the questions I've run into.

1) I  would love to have the  ability to calculate, store and
show backorder information on the invoice and packing list.
( I'd think that this would be mandatory in a accounting system with order entry and inventory functions)

I don't know PERL (yet) so i don't know how to execute this.

Has anyone done this ? Is there a plan to have backorders
    supported in the future ?

2) Is there a way to associate a user's name with an order and then
pass that info to the TEX template so that a "salesman" field can
be shown on  invoices, sales orders etc. ?
Next version with audit trail would make this easy  ?

3) Date shipped, and waybill (tracking code) would also be great to have, as opposed to putting them in the "notes" field.

4) What kind of detail is included in the manual ?
A sample of the manual's table of contents would be great
   on the web site.

5) Should I pay for the above functionality to be custom coded or will this stuff be "standard", in the near future ?

Thanks for your help.
