Download teTeX from http://theory.uwinnipeg.ca/search/tetex.html, select from the drop down menu Intel x86/ glibc2, if you have a Linux system with a newer distribution. Make sure you have 1.0 binary distribution selected; Site selection should be set to automatic, then click download. If you don't know how to untar or install the binary just ask and some one will help you out.
