I've never used a Microsoft-based accounting package, only some that run on linux. Of these the L123 version of SL is by far the best. I do know from experience in the mid-1980s and comments from others since then that Quickbooks and its competitors are limited both by how users do things and the types of businesses it can handle.
I'm sure there are industries and businesses (small to medium size, not just huge enterprises) with accounting needs that SL handles with aplomb but would require the really expensive, multi-module packages that run on Windows. What industries and businesses are in this category?
