Hi Rich,

Sorry, I should've included more info about my setup before.  Here
goes.  I'm running the latest Ubuntu server, v10.10; here's the output
from uname -a:

Linux ws1 2.6.35-22-generic-pae #33-Ubuntu SMP Sun Sep 19 22:14:14 UTC
2010 i686 GNU/Linux

Because this distro did not come with DBI or DBD:Pg, I used cpan to
install those.  Because those components required other packages that
weren't included with this distro, such as pg_config & cc (yes, it did
not include cc!), I had to fetch those with apt-get, but I eventually
arrived at a system with everything installed & tested.  I'm able to
view my data in reports, & everything is correct -- I simply cannot
add to it.  I'm thinking that a cascaded sequence might have been
toasted during the data restore operation...
