Hi everyone,

I am having problems setting up a German chart of accounts and keep getting the
following error. I left the "Multibyte encoding" blank on the screen where you
can select your preferred chart of accounts.

Error!

sql/Germany-SKR03-gifi.sql : INSERT INTO gifi (accno,description) VALUES
('0001', 'Aufw. f. die Ingangsetzung u. Erweit. des Geschäftsbetr.')
FEHLER: ungültige Byte-Sequenz für Kodierung »UTF8«: 0xe46674

Translating the error says: Invalid Byte-Sequenz for Coding "UTF-8".

Can you reproduce this? (I am using openSUSE 12.2) with Postgres 9.1.8

mwagner@extensa5230e:~> postgres --version
postgres (PostgreSQL) 9.1.8

Maybe this can be solved with the "iconv" command and I am assuming it is just
a matter of proper encoding of the .sql-file

Please let me know should you need further information.

Regards,

Maik Wagner
