I know how to use free text search, but thats not what I need - I need to be
able to ask a question in english, and get sql generated that will answer
the question when executed.
This is what english query does - and it is working, however One of the
fields in a db table contains the deescription of a product - and I want
within english query to be able to find matches against part of the field.
cheers
Dan

Use a freetext search. That will find a particular word, or form / tense of
a word.
