This problem just happened to me. It used to be running fine the like '%' but somehow it does not work anymore, I am yet to find out why. According to a friend of mine, if you are using ADO with access 2000, you can try ALIKE '%' instead of Like '%'. Otherwise, you need to use '*' as wildcard.
