I've got a user with a 500MB database that's giving errors whenever it's
accessed by coldfusion, and error messages like this one are in the logs:

[quote]
Error","jrpp-218","12/21/04","04:12:51","ahsa","Error Executing
Database Query.[Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Cannot
resolve collation conflict for equal to operation. The specific
sequence of files included or processed is:
C:\domains\clientname\wwwroot\foldername\filename.cfm "
[/quote]

First of all, this database was created in one place, then uploaded by DTS
to the server. SO I'm assuming the error is caused by having the original
Dev server set up as (say) UTF-8 and the production server (say) US ASCII -
is that what causes this?

And what can we do about it, given that it's 500MB on a shared server with
dozens of other databases - we can't change the server if it's going to
affect all the other data users.

Cheers
