Small off-topic point of order .... The big chilly continent south of Australia - the driest continent on earth - is called Antarctica not Antartica.
You can have the database files on another drive than your server files You move the .mdf and .ldf files to the any other folder, and use attach to add them back to your server. I'm not sure but I do believe you could probably even have them on a different machine on the network couldn't you? In other words, you could have sql server installed on c drive but the data and log files can be on d drive. To do this, you have to move that particular database to the d drive. Am I right? please correct me if i am wrong. thanks ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| ColdFusion 8 - Build next generation apps today, with easy PDF and Ajax features - download now http://download.macromedia.com/pub/labs/coldfusion/cf8_beta_whatsnew_052907.pdf Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/SQL/message.cfm/messageid:3000 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/SQL/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.6
