Yeah, my Google mojo finally kicked in.
WHERE
length(chemical_no) - length(TRANSLATE(chemical_no,
CHR(1)||TRANSLATE(chemical_no, CHR(1)||'1234567890', CHR(1) ), CHR(1) )
) > 0
Returns all 213 records out of the 4+ million that have a non-numeric
character. I don't completely understand how, but it works.
