props is a dictionary where it puts all the "properties={}" that you
create, plus the ones that the mapper creates for the columns on the
table. maybe it should be called "properties" or have a synonym as such.
If you are using mapper.props, you are already poking around a little bit
under the hood but not terribly so. If its likely to change, Id say
probably not, with the caveat that SA is still in "svn release" mode...so
everything is *subject* to change if some unforseen major design issue
pops up. but as people seem to be already rolling it out :) seems like
its already too late for severe changes....
