OK, what Hibernate capabilities would we *not* want to support ? Keeping in mind I am only somewhat familiar with Hibernate myself, so maybe theres plenty.
(by "capabilities" i mean just "can handle this kind of database relationship/ this kind of object pattern" etc. I am excluding general "characteristics" of Hibernate that are Java-specific or wouldnt be appropriate in Python, such as "can be configured via XML files", etc. ) Robert Leftwich wrote: > Jonathan Ellis wrote: >> On 4/12/06, Michael Bayer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> >> >>>at the point at which SA is looking more like Hibernate than you want it >>>to, its time to speak up ! at the moment, Hibernate is partially or >>> fully >>>driving just about every decision made in the past three weeks. its >>>gravitational pull is much stronger than that of trying to re-invent >>> each >>>concept on your own. >>> >> >> >> I guess what scares me is that Hibernate tries to accomodate every >> possible >> way of doing things, and I don't think that's a good target.
