A project I'm working on will use persistent dictionary objects that contain various types of Python objects. The dict will be saved to and restored from a database with SQLAlchemy.
I'm picturing a database schema like the following: http://deadbeefbabe.org/paste/362 This prototype code uses my "database" module, http://foss.eepatents.com/pNetworkX/browser/trunk/pnetworkx/database.py. In addition to providing persistence, I plan to use the database to do things like text searching for dictionary items that are string objects, finding dictionary items named 'price' that are of a numerical type and are less than 12.50, etc. Is anyone doing anything like this already? If not, is anyone interested in an open-source package that will accomplish this, either as a user or helping to do some development work?
