Hello Michael, Once you said that you want to get rid of key/name dichotomy.
Maybe this issue can be solved with additional mapper property like "naming_scheme", i.e: assign_mapper(MyClass, my_table, naming_scheme=namingschemes.MixedCase) or assign_mapper(MyClass, my_table, naming_scheme=namingschemes.LowercaseUnderscore) and it will automatically create proper properties on mapper. So people will be able to automate key assignmnet according to naming scheme they use.
