Well, I can do this:
cursor.execute(self.__sql, params)
#engine.execute(self.__sql, cursor=cursor, parameters=params)
result = result_var.getvalue()
cursor.close()
and don't bother with engine.
Still, I would like to know if part with getting/closing connection is
correct.
