For legacy reasons, my company's database is storing datetimes as type varchar in the format 'Friday 01st of May 2009 01:16:37 PM'. I need to convert them to type datetime in order to get the minimum and maximum datetime. Unfortunately, the func.cast expects the date to be in the order YYYY-MM-DD. Is there a way to tell func.cast what order the date is actually in, like you can with strptime()?
