I would like confirmation as to the appropriate method to add namespace packages. As I mentioned earlier, the three sources of information are:
http://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0382/ http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1675734/how-do-i-create-a-namespace-package-in-python http://peak.telecommunity.com/DevCenter/setuptools#namespace-packages It's not clear what reason there is to use the setuptools function, when pkgutil is provided built into Python since 2.3. It suggests there is some incompatibility between the two methods and I'd like to know from the community what the standard approach is towards this problem and what rationale there is behind each approach...or if the entire approach of remote "contrib" packages pulled into the package namespace is even recommended - what projects use this approach, for example.
