That's right. 0.7 hasn't been released yet. My fault entirely. It's
been due for ages but... well... I've been busy.

Nope. 0.6.1 is not considered a beta. Or you could consider it as a
"Google beta" ;-). The reality is only that I forgot to change the
beta status in the setup.py (and thus on the pypi website) since 0.3
or something. Sorry for the confusion.
