Personally, I prefer when the list-server places the list address in the reply-to
field, because replying to the list is what I and other people want to be doing 90% of
the time.

I would rather have to change the address manually for the few instances when I want a
private conversation than have to do it many times to continue a list conversation.
(Whereas, not having the reply-to is more appropriate on an announcement list. But
sqlite is a *discussion* list.)

I can't count the number of times I accidentally sent a private response, and was
waiting for the message to come back to me via the list, before I realized what
happened.

As for cross-posts, I do recognize the problem there, about how reply-to would only
reply to one of them and your having to manually add the others. But once again,
cross-posts are relatively rare in discussion lists.

As for the old list, I do agree with the sentiment of sending a notification message
to it also, in case some people there didn't get on the new list.

Now a question, if it hadn't already been answered: Does your new mail server support
the concept of a web archive, so we could read this list's messages without getting
them in our inbox? While I normally take the 'individual emails' option and let my
Eudora filters shuffle them into separate boxes per mailing list, I find that the
option for web-only can be useful.

P.S. In case my presence here is a surprise, I was on the old sqlite list for awhile,
but just hadn't posted anything to it before.
