[sqlite] Cannot trigger on system table

Hello,

A trigger on update and delete on sqlite_master calling a registered c 
function seems to be a good way to update a tree-view showing the db 
catalog, but sqlite doesn't like it.
Is there a technical reason to avoid trigger on system table.
Any work around ?
