Version 2.8.7 of SQLite is now available on the website.
This release includes several new experimental APIs and
some changes and improvements to the experimental date/time
functions. If you have been keeping up with the changes
in CVS, there is nothing new here. I just felt it was
time to package up the accumulated changes into an
official release.
There is no compelling reason to upgrade unless you want
to use some of the experimental APIs or the new experimental
date/time functions.
For documentation on the experimental APIs, see the
"sqlite.h" file. Documentation on the date/time functions
is in comments in the "date.c" source file. The official
documentation will be updated with information on all of
the new APIs and functions once they graduate from
"experimental" to "supported".
