Yes, starting with PySQLite 0.5.0, I retired the old examples. There are new examples in the 0.5.0 source distribution. I also removed the old website, but temporarily left it at /old/, so the URL you're looking for is probably
http://pysqlite.sourceforge.net/old/examples/
Also, please use the PySQLite mailing list for future PySQLite questions, I don't read all messages on the SQLite mailing list, so I might miss your questions here
