Nop, the problem isn't the underscore. The sqlite works with both
keywords: AUTOINCREMENT and AUTO_INCREMENT.

To underscore -- the difficulty:

Maybe it was just a typing mistake in your message, but according to
   http://sqlite.org/lang_createtable.html
The keyword is AUTOINCREMENT and not AUTO_INCREMENT
