Here's a simple workaround similar to the 'eval' function in scripting: Look in vacuum.c and you'll see 2 functions: execSql and execExecSql. Create sqlite function wrappers for them. Using these wrapped user functions and querying the sqlite_master table will allow you to generate the SQL query you want with an expanded arg list.
