Yes, I got that too when I sent mail to this list.  It's quite
disconcerting.  I bet that's why people have been sending the same
message over and over to this list -- they keep getting this error and
it makes them think their message didn't go through.

Without looking at the logs of the mailing list server I can only
guess what's going on.  (Indeed, even if I could look at the logs, I'd
probably still have to make a wild guess.) 

It could be that the mailing list is misconfigured.

It could even be that one of the subscribers to this list has
misconfigured his or her mail client, and the client is sending copies
of the posts back to the mailing list, and Postfix is intepreting that
as a mail loop.
