I have used sqlite on a similar platform. I use the GHS Integrity operating system. With a few tweaks I was able to get it to run well. The flash will keep things on the slower side, but I see my inserts (with idexes) taking a little as 0.05 seconds. Queries of 250 out of 10K sorted taking less than 1 second. Of course we are not talking apples to apples. I do not know you application and cannot tell you how it will perform on your app.
