The current version of OS X already has two versions of OS X installed. OS X 10.6 includes version 3.6.12 of SQLite which exceeds the requirements of that package (according to its homepage). There's no reason you should need to do anything about SQLite at all. If you give us a specific error message we might be able to work out what's wrong, but I suspect that your problem is actually with PyGTK or something like that, not SQLite.
