You are aware that SQLite only allows one writer at any given time, right? So irrespectively how fast the write is, only one can happen at a given point in time. If the immediate concurrency of the users is paramount, perhaps you could have multiple, individual write databases, which then get, hmmm, magically merged into whatever they need to be merged into.
