No need.  Given your testing and the bugfix Keith pointed to I can predict it 
will work fine for the new version.  The problem was that the old version of 
the shell tool running on Windows could create bad database files.  The fix was 
in the shell tool and not the API.  And versions released after 4/4/2016 have 
this fix.

Worth noting that other programs which use the API can have the same bug that 
the shell tool had.  They will have this if they pass non-unicode strings to 
API calls.  And this is particularly easy in operating systems and programming 
languages which don't use Unicode as their standard fpr strings.  So we all 
need to know this.
