hi. you are probably using Windows and you just double clicked the sqlmap.py file :)
you are supposed to go the "Command Prompt" inside Windows OS, go to the sqlmap's directory, and from there run: python sqlmap.py together with other options. also, you are advised to checkout the latest v1.0-dev version from our repository. you can do that by downloading TortoiseSVN and right-click inside the place where you want it to be checked out, and select "Checkout...". as an URL address enter: https://svn.sqlmap.org/sqlmap/trunk/sqlmap kind regards.
