Hi, The command to keep your git working copy is indeed 'git pull'. For Windows users I recommend the fancy GUI from GitHub, http://windows.github.com/. For Linux users git-core is the package you need.

The git-svn crash course might be of use for subversion users, http://git.or.cz/course/svn.html.
