Hi

I'm actually developping a web application using SqlObject.
I'm a totally a newbie in relational databases principles.
I know about basic things:
- tables, rows , columns
- selection
- simple relations like the ones explained in the sqlobject doc.

There are things a little more complex that I would like to know more about:
- transactions (what is it for? how it works?)
- complex relations (multiple joins, one to many, many to many, etc)
- performance impact of table structures, indexes, etc...

Can anyone point me to an url explaining all these database stuff for newbies?

Thanks for your help
