Got an e-mail address or other reference to SF Tracker?

My biggest problem is that ``python setup.py install'' doesn't understand
the ``--root=$RPM_BUILD_ROOT'' option, but thinks that it's installing in a
private space causing all sorts of wierdness. The standard python
distutils handles this quite nicely (and far more easily than dealing with
CPAN installs :-).

I'm building SRPMS for the OpenPKG.org portable packaging system, and my
workaround has been to manually handle the install phase after doing the
build.
