Yeah, that's mostly it. I've started looking at it before, but I haven't really gone through the logs thoroughly. If you get part way, please make sure to note what revisions you've covered in the news file.

   The trunk is good enough to release 0.8-beta1. There are no dates.

Yes, I think so too. I don't know if there's anything particular that needs doing in the trunk before release, though the news file is also not up to date there.
