There are many long and heated debates on the Net about the subject.
Some people believe this, some believe that.
IMO the best solution is to leave Reply-To header alone and add the
header Mail-Followup-To. But for this to work every MUA in the world must
understand Mail-Followup-To which they usually don't.
While we are waiting for MUAs to implement support for Mail-Followup-To
Reply-To munging is IMHO the least problematic solution.
