What's the accepted / best way in SQLObject to test that the db we
are trying to connect to actually exists? I'm using SQLObj behind
Plone and so I'm not concerned about the table being missing, but
more with someone giving the wrong connection details or the MySQL
server being offline and having able to generate a meaningful error
message.
