No, that's a bug in sqlbuilder. I'd like to fix it, but I'm waiting for Luke Opperman to merge his revolutionary work into the trunk. He has merged .select() and DBConnection.queryForSelect() into sqlbuilder.Select(), thus making all SELECTs in one place, and giving sqlbuilder.Select() all the features of .select().
