   If you don't need different classes from one .select() you probably
could go with simple *Python* inheritance:

class named( SQLObject ):
    name = StringCol( )

class zoo( named ):
    # name = StringCol( )
    cages = MultipleJoin( 'cage' )

etc...
   The column 'name' will be included in the every table.
