Wow, it seems a bolt struck through my head when I devised the name for
the parameter. In the afterthought naming it 'backend' seems rather wrong.
The backend is PostgreSQL, and *drivers* are psycopg and pygres.
I'd like to rename the parameter to 'driver' and apologize for the
inconvenience. To relive the pain I will preserve backward compatibility
for a version or two.
