I have been thinking about getting rid of most of my HiFi separates and moving to LMS as my only music source.
I have a full set of Tuner, CD, Cassette deck ;) and Turntable but rarely use them so it seems I could sell these and replace them all with a Squeezebox + Amp for each set of speakers. The thought then occured to me that if I could produce an audio stream from say a CD via Spdif or the cassette deck via analog in with say a Pi I could then stream these via LMS to the Squeezebox/Amp/Speakers. So my question is does anyone know any hardware (within reason price range) or software for something small (ie Pi) that could do this ? Or is there another way ?
