Resurrecting this thread (one year later :)) as the problem never went away and I'd like to try to resolve it.
Per bpa's advice, clearing the LMS cache does fix the problem - but only for one episode. Then the podcast doesn't update again until another cache clear. All other podcasts update just fine. Grateful for any thoughts...
