Look under Linux and there is plenty of stuff about it.
You need a Pi, a case, a power supply and an 8gb microSD card
You download max2play - the Squeezeplug image one - and burn it to the
SD card using win32diskburner (I think that's the name anyway)
You put the SD card into the Pi and power it up with a network cable
attached
Then you open a browser on your PC and configure it to be an LMS server
and point it at your NAS
Make a cup of tea while it scans your library

There are help files on max2play site but tricky to find

*Vortexbox LMS 7.8 music on QNAP TS419p via NFS* iThingys/iPeng/Tablets
*Living Room* - SB3 -> Onkyo TS606 - > Celestion Ditton F20s - Zone 2 ->
Sony TA FE 320 -> Sennheiser RS 130 & B&W P7
*Office* - RPi -> Sony TA FE320 -> Celestion F10s / SB3 -> Onkyo CRN 755
-> Wharfedale Modus Cubes
*Dining Room* -> SB Boom *Kitchen* -> UE Radio (upgraded to SB Radio)
*Bedroom (Bedside)* - SB Touch -> Topping TP21 -> AKG Headphones
*Bedroom (TV)* - Amazon Fire TV (SB Player) -> Topping TP20 ->
Wharfedale Modus Cubes
