I don't know about the other apps, but for SqueezePlay and SqueezeCtrl you will only see the problem on items past the size of the first request for items of a menu. For SqueezePlay thats >200 items, for Squeeze Ctrl that's >48 items. And it only applies when a song is currently playing.
