Hi all

I'm finally trying to sort my music collection and using LMS to play and
rate tracks. My collection is very far from neatly laid out into Artist
/ Album folders containing as it does digitised cassettes and vinyl,
radio recordings, tracks sent to me by friends etc.

Should I want to listen to the three tracks I've got by a certain band,
even though I've given those tracks the same "album" name (eg
BandLOOSETRACKS), LMS often creates 3 albums which are fiddly to go in
and out of. The main difference I can see between the tracks which may
be causing this is that they seem to be picking up 3 different artwork
files, so LMS is assuming that these are 3 separate albums. The artwork
isn't related to the track, just appears in the folder the track's in.

Has anyone else had this problem, and as I suspect it's the artwork
casing the problem, is there:

a way of telling LMS to ignore artwork in presenting me with albums?
any mileage in deleting all the artwork in the offending folders (I'm
not bothered about artwork anyway really)

As I appreciate that's probably gibberish, here's the same gibberish
expressed a different way:

3 songs by eg Blur, from a variety of sources in a variety of folders:

blur - beetlebum (\Music\Tape1)
blur - song 2 (\Music\Vinyl1)
blur - for tomorrow (\Music\Radio Sessions)

All have been given the album name "BlurLOOSETRACKS" but appear as
different albums in LMS, with different artworks appearing at the side
of them. I want to play the 3 of them as a playlist by pressing one
button, so that I can see, using Trackstat, how many times I've played
them, and what ratings I've given them, all in a nice list! IS this
possible? As I say, I'm happy to lose artwork altogether if that's what
it takes.

Ta!
