We all like updates! But recently, 7,9 updates are appearing 2-3 times
a day!

LMS should only check for updates once a day. Unless you've modified its configuration.

Any reasons for this confetti of updates ?

Our build system had always been set up to build whenever there's a change. And then build the "nightly" every 24h. Only that latter would be published. But it's always been an automated process.

As I've found myself triggering the "nightly" builds more and more often in between those 24h intervals (to fix an urgent bug), I decided to simply have the immediate builds be pushed out to the download site, too. Assuming the update checker would only check every 24h anyway, this should not have any major impact on the users' installations. Unless a.) you have your own, nervous update checker do its job more frequently, or b.) you've modified the prefs file to have LMS check more often than every 24h, or c.) there is a bug in the update checker. As c.) is not an option, please tell me what you did :-).
